Scott Hernishin, Global Quality Systems Manager; L.B. Foster Co.
Scott Hernishin has over 25 years in Operations Management & QHSE with leading manufacturing companies including Sony, Bombardier, ABB and Westinghouse. His areas of focus and specialty throughout these organizations has been in operational efficiency and improvement. His particular focus has been on the development and implementation of programs where process and data-collection drive behavior and performance.
Scott is currently the Senior Quality Manager for LB Fosters North American Rail Business, and most recently was the Global Process Manager for the implementation of Foster's operational Process-Metrics tracking program, including the implementation of the Intelex database application system. The foundation of this system is an Observations Program, coupled with the concept of “Left-Shift”; focusing Foster's data-collection and continuous improvement efforts upstream in processes, with emphasis placed on Prevention.
Scott is a certified Lean Six-Sigma Master Blackbelt, ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001 Lead Auditor, and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of QHSE systems throughout his career.
