Network with your peers and do some good, too! Volunteers will help improve coastal resiliency by removing invasive plants, and planting native sea oats that discourage beach erosion while providing a habitat for sea turtle nesting, food for pollinators and way-stations for migratory birds.
Participants should meet in the lobby of the Marriott by 8:30 a.m. to join the group on the bus. Volunteer activity will be 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Attendees will be brought back to the Marriott by 12:30 p.m. upon completion of the project. How to Receive Continuing Education Credit
NAEM is happy to support attendee requests for certification maintenance points. To receive credit, contact the certifying organization and ask about their requirements for awarding maintenance points through other organizations' events. Once you've obtained this information, please contact NAEM at (202) 986-6616 to let us know what you need. This may include pre-submission of the conference agenda, a letter confirming attendance or a submission of approval request forms.
Cancellations/Substitutions
Cancellations: To receive a full refund, less a $150 administrative fee, cancellation requests must be made in writing and received by NAEM & by September 10, 2017. After September 10, 2017, registration fees are forfeited.

Substitutions: If you are unable to attend the conference but would like to send a colleague in your place, you are able to make a substitution without any change free or penalty. To initiate a substitution please contact Virginia Hoekenga at NAEM.
